Well one of the main reasons they do it is to make more money. A new mutation means another new toy and TMNT usually sells extremely well with the toys and figures. And I see so many TMNT 2012 products you would think Disney is backing the show. Backpacks, mugs, tennis rackets, lunch boxes, etc. Even though the show is about mutants, having humans in it is important too. There are some things I want to note you about regarding April and some other things too. I also hope Nick doesn't go too out of control.
