Well isn't this a trip down memory lane. The wolf in this picture is named Shadow and he was my first ever original OC (Kage came before him but she was more of an avatar for myself than an OC) Despite being old, badly designed and looking like an emo sparkle dog, I have always been particularly fond of Shadow. I don't know whether its his punky appearance, his red eyes or is cute, wittle, white nose (d'awww) but there is something about the design I still like. He is kinda a lovable misfit in my mind.

In past pictures, his appearance was never consistent. I would either couldn't make up my mind which leg his leg warmer would go, place his green, glowing marking on the wrong shoulder or completely forget to give him his little grey toes. So in this picture I made it official how he is meant to look. The leg warmer and green marking are now on the same leg and the toes are permanently part of his design. I also gave him a gold earring in one ear because I thought it would suit him.

While I'm not exactly going to be drawing him frequently (he is an OLD character after all) I don't intend to scrap him for good. He is, what I have affectionately named, a Retired OC. That means he is a character I no longer really use but is also one I don't have the heart to let go off. I also have another picture of him I'm planning to do at some point so he will occasionally be put to good use.

Shadow belongs to me and was drawn in Paint Tool SAI, once again using a new, experimental style.
