Also in the "hopping into random streams" pile, I got Skidd to draw an awesome pic of Zoe here and I spent WAAAAAAAAAY too much time coloring and shading it. The picture just looked too good not to try!
Spent a while trying to make the highlights on her hair work but I got something :B I think the creative problem solving is my favorite part of coloring. Used a separate layer to draw the highlights with (and had yet another separate layer for the black outline on top of that), motion blurred them, then used a separate layer to select all of the area outside of the hair then clicked back to the highlights layer and deleted what escaped the boundaries. Then I doubled the layer to make it brighter.
Oh and yes, big pink plastic hoops. Gold didn't quite fit her (clashes with the hair) and the silver was kinda meh. Somehow the 80s hoops go well with the psuedo futuristic workout clothes.
