... or "Attack of the zombie butterflies".
This is a Picture done for my significant other of his chimera character. If you care to know why he has such an odd assortment of critters, I'll explain. for now, I keep it simple: its a combination of Horse, Crow, Dragon (silverfrost, again my mate's creation) and snake.
Here the creature has encountered one of natured most disturbing biological bastards, second only to the chimera itself.... the butterfly. Really, what gorges itself as a fat, bloated worm, then melts into goo inside a sac made of its own spit, in order to turn into a winged monstrosity for the sake of travel... and a girlfriend? what kinda girl would take such a mutant? oh yeah... another butterfly *shudders*
I also have technical reasons for the pose. again, if asked, I shall tell; I feel I've rambled enough allready.

*grins* its all in how you handle perspective. many folks don't find snakes appealing, but I see them as quiet, graceful, practical creatures that only bite out of fear or need of food. By replacing their cold, emotionless looking eyes with beady black ones, you add a humanity factor by making them cuter while keeping that "what am I thinking?" alienesque aspect of their emotionless faces. duckies have such beady little eyes, for example.
Heya Elly: Me and Kogi have been off momentarily: net time ran out. We're getting a new provider because the old one had hideous service, but we should be back in a couple of days.
As for the picture: Thanks for that:) I'm actually fond of snakes myself. A friend had a baby python that liked to snuggle under my arm on my lap: most mellow, social snake I've encountered! I say "Had" because its now an adult ball python, and just as friendly:)
I will likely draw more snakes and such in the future: not a big fan of rattlers due to their dispositions, but meh, details: We can talk about stuff like that later.
I tend to think snakes can be cute, thus why I drew this one the way I did. they can also be sultry, sinuous, threatening, a wide gamut of exciting essences for potential artwork.
But yeah, hope you like this one, and others on my gallery. Hope to be back supporting the group before long.

oi... just realised something here... the right wing is missing. only a bit of it will be visible from this angle (which is why I forgot it) but its still enough of a flaw to warrent a fix. expect this to be either edited or reposted once its fixed, whichever causes less chaos... for now though... sleepy... snckszzzzz....
