Old Dec 1997 picture - IBM PC XT (and Christmas presents)
Ok, the point of this picture is to just show the very first computer I personally owned (along with an old Kaypro computer, not shown), back in 1997, that I bought from a college excess property auction (Of course, had I been more patient, I could have bought a newer 386 computer - I had to go to work about an hour later)

It had a 20MB hard drive
640KB of RAM
two 5.25" floppy drives
and a CGA video card

I never owned a computer with Windows 95, so I wasn't aware at the time about how many disks an OS came on (Except DOS was on like 2 or 3 5.25" floppy discs). It wasn't until 1999 did I start building my computer, and I had Windows 98 on a CD.
For a time, I did have the Iomega Zip drives with 100MB discs, I had them around 2000-2003, then I bought an Imation LS-120 super floppy drive around 2003, and had to remove it in 2007 because Microsoft quietly removed the support for the 120MB floppy disc, thus the drive could no longer read/write to the 120MB floppy, just the 720/1.44MB floppies.

Though, I do remember the Apple ][e in the library and ][c computers in my computer class in 1989-1991 in Jr High (they were adding hard drives to the ][c's back then), the old IBM 386 PS/2 computers in 1995 that were in my computer class in High School, and playing around with the Windows 3.11 computers in 11th or 12th grade in 1996, and even playing DOOM, and messing with AutoCAD in class.
Just as a quick FYI Anglewulf3, don't judge the 1990's by the IBM PC XT as it is *not* a product of the 1990's. Chakat_Blackspots may have purchased their IBM PC XT in 1997, but the XT was originally released by IBM in 1983 and production of that model ceased in 1987. The IBM PC XT is very much a product of the 1980's-- not the 90's.
