I've got very similar weather. x3 i'm from Flagstaff, up at a lovely 7000 feet.
But hey, just because it's not december doesn't mean it can't be christmas. :D Come over and I'll make us some eggnog, and i'll even put up a tree! We're technically grown-ups, we can do what we want. -3-

It most certainly is. Very few places exist in the US where you can literally just pick quartz right off the ground (though if you want to take a lot of it out of state, you'll run into some legal problems), not to mention how beautiful the Painted Desert is. Unfortunately, I haven't been back to AZ in a couple of decades (I live in Kansas), though I've visited NM a couple of times (I had forgotten how much I missed the desert).
I hope to one day go back to AZ, though it'll probably be somewhere like Flagstaff if I ever do since it has a cooler climate. That, and Mesa kinda holds some bad memories for me (my father died there, and his ex-wife is a bitch) for reasons I won't go into here, so while I miss it terribly I probably couldn't live there again.

I'm from Kansas, I'm used to weather like that. Hell, remember the tornado that hit Joplin, MO? Well, it hit where my friends and I were camped at in Oklahoma first. And I stood outside and watched the sucker pass over our camp, the clouds were literally rotating as they went overhead. x3 Best time I ever had at a con.

No, I'm not on any medication, why do you ask? <.<

Same situation here and I like like...only 40 mins from Toronto. Last year it was scorching at this point and I was swimming, this year... http://s1169.photobucket.com/user/electro057/media/Face%20and%20Stuffs/IMG_2274_zpsf31c04d4.mp4.html?sort=4&o=0 That was taken at March 30th and it is STILL like that.
Where I live we would welcome precipitation in any form. We are going into our fourth consecutive year of severe drought and things are getting grim. There is a chance of an El Nino forming in the Pacific this summer and a good monsoon season for us but that would only be a short term fix. What we really need is a few years of good snow pack in the mountains to fill the reservoirs back up.
