A lot of thought went into this design, a lot more than I actually intended. Mostly because I want to build something like this IRL if possible, and partly because I’m obsessed.
Despite how old school the design is, a lot of the things on the car are modern, like suspension, brakes, tyres. Even the engine and transmission are already figured out.
With a 4.8L inline 6 twin turbocharged I'd be looking at getting about 450-500hp at a low-ish boost setting for reliability and long engine life. I know those sorts of numbers are possible, and not expensive to attain.
I would daily drive this thing too, because I believe cars are meant to be driven, not put on a pedestal and glossed up until you can see your reflection in the sidewalls of the tyres.

That's what I was imagining it would be like. All vintage style gauges, but a full center console dashboard so there's room for all the modern controls like A/C and the radio. I'd even try for some aviation theme maybe, with the gauge faces similar to vintage aircraft.
I'd also probably run everything on big brass or nickle plated toggle switches, with aviation style button breakers on the lower center console, instead of fuses.
