I'll be honest, I've haven't watched a lot of anime recently. After so many years of this I've been starting to notice anime doesn't interest me as much as when I was a teen. This and because I'm getting OLD. D:

Having said that, once in a blue moon there comes an anime that speaks to me on certain level. Attack on Titan is that special type of anime. It is very well written and is spectacularly animated. The world they developed for these characters feels organic with the threat they face on a regular basis. The very concept of fighting something greater than one's self is very appealing to me. :)

When commissioning this piece I wanted both of the artists to adapt this anime but with an anthro spin. To my surprised that they too were a fan of the series adding that they would love to draw my character fighting the Colossal Titan. In the end I think they did an awesome job with this.

I'm very much in love with the pure epicness of the scene. Coming from an anime with highly choreographed flying / fighting sequences I think they choose an excellent pose for my character which not only captures the charm of the series but is also very dynamic and epic. The colossal Titan is also worth mentioning; love the muscle details on the Titan. I'm also happy with how the anthromorphic version of this character came out. The teeth on him look so frightening on this version. Lastly the background is amazing. The details from the overgrowth to the survey corps headquarters is just amazing.

If you can stomach the dark storyline, gore, and violence, I highly recommend checking out this anime.
