It's going to take some time to get used to Teeka being darkfurred, but that thatch of wild blue hair will always be a winner.
Oh, as for the art- very nice indeed. Relaxed pose, nothing showing, good clothing folds. I like the spotty shoulders too. The highlights on the tail seem off a bit to me, but perhaps I don't have a good reference to the spotted fox to really understand it.
Tails are so difficult to make poofy soft without looking like a pillow stuck on your butt. :)

:nods: I like this new version of her - it makes sense because the silver fox is the winter phase of the red fox - so while a change, she's still essentially the same species =)
And thank you =D. The variations in color on the fur is supposed to be the lights and darks of the same color, so its not supposed to be spotted - but I can see how it might look that way...

I missed this post for forever. XD But I love this art. It's the first image I ever had done of my "change" and I love it...it's still my favorite! Thank you so much for doing such a beautiful rendition of my character. I feel VERY lucky, believe me!
One quick note, though... silver-phase is not winter-phase, it's just a different coloration. Kits are born, live, and die with this color. :)
((PS: Haven't forgotten about you at all! I'll have a scanner in two weeks and yours is the first thing I'll be working on! <3 ))

I'm so happy you like it =D... I really liked doing it - and I love silver foxes..
Although I totally didn't know that silver fox was a different species - ^.^, I totally thought it was the winter-phase of the red fox. Learn something new every day =D..
And great! Cant wait to see the arts you make for me :happy:

Hey Kacey, It's Illys who sat beside you in the dealer's den at Eurofurence last year. Have you ever considered making short videos of your artwork process? I really enjoyed seeing you working with watercolor and colored pencil. It inspired me to try playing around with watercolors when I got home. I'd love to see more! I have so many artwork supplies I simply don't use enough.. ^^;
Beautiful work, as usual. I still treasure the badge I commissioned from you.

Hey =D Nice to hear from you ^.^!
I never have thought of making videos of my art process, no - I dont have a webcam so it would be tricky to do ... plus my paintings take many hours so if I did, I'd have to super-speed it up.. but I would like to see videos of other artists working, so I can see how it would be interesting =)...
Thanks very much =D It was a pleasure to meet you - I hope I can make it to Eurofurence again someday... (not going to make it this year, sadly)

Hehe.. No, Not next year for me, either. The registration for EF2008 filled up waaay too quick... And if you ask me, I prefer the ameican cons. Furry Weekend Atlanta was great - at least, that's the only other furcon I've been to so far- EF this past year seemed to be waaay raver-ee. I'm a more placid type.
I'd have to say your badges would be a great target for artvid-ing, but hey, webcams cost a pretty penny! It's pretty nice to hear/have met you too. Was fun at the con.
If hubby's starry-eyed plans come to fruiting, maybe next year we can hit Anthrocon. A big if, yes, but one can always hope! ^_^
Happy artsing ;9
