My heart, my blood, my thoughts
Everything stopped cold when I heard the news.
You’re gone.
I couldn’t breathe.

You were my light, my guide
You gave me the strength to better myself.
You gave me the power to move on.
You gave me a reason to laugh again.
You gave me hope that I wouldn’t be alone forever.
You made me laugh away the tears.
You made me crawl out of my depression.
And now I all I can ask is why were you stolen from us?
My tears have dried, but the hole still remains.
I hope to hear your laugh, to see your smile.
I wish I could hear that rumble as you pull up to the house.
I wish I would get that random late night text
“You still awake Fuzz?”
All I have now are memories.
All I have now are wishes that I know can’t come true.
…
..
.
But I know you wouldn’t want me to be like this.
You’re probably sitting up there glaring at me right now.
“Stop it Fuzz.”
“You have a full life to live, and now part of mine.”
“I’m proud of you.”
“You have to take care of the pack now.”
You taught me so much in so little time.
You taught me how to be myself.
Showed me that the world isn’t evil
Proved that there are still good people.
Showed me how to embrace a challenge.
You started to mend the scars that I still showed.
You gave me a reason to get better and now I have to keep it up.
I have to wear the spots you so proudly displayed.
I have to pick up where you left off.
So many people loved you.
So many people miss you.
Memories, stories, tales…
You’re immortal.
I miss you
Forever and always.
You’ll always be my big brother.
My best friend.
My “momma” fox.
I love you and am thankful you are in my life.
Even if I can no longer see you.

It's been a little over a month since my very good friend passed away due to congestive heart failure. I haven't had the urge to write in a long time and this kind happened. I thought I would share.
