Finally got around to finishing Piper's updated look, so I figured I'd post him here! He's my fursona and has evolved over the years, but I'm super happy with his updated form. /)w(\ <3

Piper is a gem-dragon, which is an open species belonging to me. ouo Feel free to make your own if you like! I'd love to see them too.

I'll be posting a ref sheet of Piper eventually when I can steal the time to finish it.

Basic Info:

Gem-dragons have long fuzzy bodies and are very flexible, with a gait similar to that of a ferret. They tend to be excitable and hyper, never stopping until they flop into a fuzzy pile to sleep. There are two gems, one located on the forehead and another on the tail, both of which are identical. Eyes and insides such as mouth, tongue, and flesh are the same color as their gems. Horn size and shape vary greatly between dragons. Gems are precious to them, and cracked, broken or torn out gems injure the dragon, though it is possible to live without them, it robs them of their magical abilities. Any gem-dragon who loses its gems tends to go into a deep depression and isolate itself, as it is extremely weak and vulnerable.
