Regardless, a copy right serves a propose, if you don't like it, don't watch it. It doesn't take away from the value of a piece, and if you can't see past that, then may I suggest you broaden your horizons. It's been my experience with other galleries that the members who complain about water marks are the ones most likely to steal your art.

On that note, there's been a lot of theft going around the galleries, and those artist have no one to blame but them selves if all they place on there is a small 100 pixel signature. Like it or don't, just don't post something so idiotic on my work. Have a nice day.

Actually, I wouldn't mind if it was true. It DOES take away from the value of the piece. It's the whole point of watermarking: take away enough from the value to make it worthless to the potential thief, while keeping enough of value to make it still interesting to the casual visitors.
You just overshoot the second target a little.
As for me and theft of my stuff, all my works are Creative Commons. Free to take. Can't steal what is free to take.

Then again I will suggest you broaden your horizons. Even a semi-experienced artist will be abel to look past a watermark and see the effort put into a piece. If a person can not see that, then the fault shouldn't fall on the artist, but that person. I seriously can not believe that I am having this conversation with yet another person. However I must say, in my 7 years of doing this. I have only had two people comment on my water mark. So I do not believe that it's going to steer the average viewer away. If you really wish to press this childish issue further, well just don't.
