She isn't exactly afraid, as you would think of it. ^^; She is more a bit distrusting to Kitsune as a race, as in her backstory, the dragon whom pretty much owned her, commissioned a kitsune to enchant the crystal you see her in there, to keep her alive and preserve her for thousands of years as his trophy. So she naturally kinda has a distaste for the species in general, though she can get friendly with kitsune, as long as they aren't well, deceitful and the like. And as far as half and quarter kitsune, it's mostly just what reminds her of the kitsune that made her imprisonment possible.
Like I said, she can be friendly with kitsune. She just has that initial dislike for them that comes from a past of rather bad experiences with them. For example, if you go to a bank, and they pretty much rip you off, steal your money, that kind of thing. You are going to have that caution and distaste for banks, as it was your first experience with them. However, if you switch banks, going in more cautiously because of your prior experience, and find them to be a good bank, you are still going to like this bank, and hate your old bank. Right? ^^;
Ah. My sona was born to a wolf father and a half-kitsune, half-human mother. He was later sent to a prison colony for a whole multitude of crimes he didn't commit, but then the ship was taken out by a supernova. The only reason he survived was because the phoenix being born in the explosion had merged with him.
So, he resembles a wolf with a few vulpine traits and a few phoenix traits. As far as abilities are concerned, hepatic has phoenix ones, but also a few kitsune abilities that are dormant (his mother never told him about his kitsune heritage.)
