Conclusion? A game aimed to be retro before retro was too much of a 'thing'.
On a side note: Don't remember the N-64 ever having a light gun. And, the Zapper is prime to use, as that Super Scope 6 was just the largest bazooka thing ever invented and quite possibly embarrasing to even be seen ever using. (Or, manliest thing ever to be seen holding. Open for debate.)
