Tabitha and Dominic have been dating for a while not, but in all that time Dom had never met either of her parents. It wasn't out of shame but out of the fact that they were just never around. So what happens when they get surprised?

Tabitha Warren had honestly been surprised. Some six weeks ago the Weavile had found herself in a rather frustrating position as her best friend Vincent Tellamapolou had been in the hospital and unconscious. Vincent had been her best friend since childhood and for the first time ever she’d found herself unable to do anything to help him. No words, no jokes, no comforting hug, nothing she’d done in the past would work now. Instead all she could do was wait and see when he’d come out of his coma. Tabitha wasn’t the most patient of ‘mon and had trouble waiting for something she really wanted, she was a ‘mon of action and that’s what she needed. That action came in the form of a young but rather hunky Pachirisu named Dominic Ardillo Del Relampago.
At first the relationship was purely physical. She’d literally drug him off by the tail and brought him back to her place. At first he’d been reluctant to agree to anything given the circumstances but she was hot and eventually relented. The two spent a good two hours without as much as a single word passing between them. It wasn’t until they lay together after they’d finish that she eventually broke down and started to cry in his arms. Dominic held the distraught Weavile and talked through what she was feeling. His kindness had caught Tabitha off guard at first but once she had opened up she couldn’t stop. That night passed with the two curled up as the Pachi held her close. It was the first night of what would become several as the two spent time with one another more and more. Pretty soon what had started as merely physical had turned into something surprising for them; a relationship.
The two had found themselves spending more and more time with one another in different ways. With Dominic being in a band Tabi tracked down when they were having practice one day and dropped in on them, much to the lead singer’s chagrin. She hung back for the most part and flirted with the drummer a bit, though she still gave most of her attention to Dominic. Yes, the two had come to enjoy their time together even when it didn’t lead into anything more intimate as both enjoyed having fun and weren’t looking to make what they had permanent like so many of their classmates did.
“So why don’t you guys have more gigs again?” Tabi and Dominic drove back to her place after the most recent practice. She’d dropped in to watch for the first time after Pokeball practice. The two sped along in the car that she had borrowed from her mother since her mother wasn’t around to say no.
“Eh not too many places cater to this kind of music. It's not like we can play weddings or anything,” Dominic shrugged in response, “Not most of them anyway.”
“Not without selling out?” She smirked and turned a corner sharply.
“We've got one this weekend. Club downtown,” He answered as he smirked back at her.
“I'll have to make sure to go then. Provided I'm old enough,” Tabitha smiled as they continued on.
“Yeah, sometimes they have eighteen and under nights, some thing they do with the school,” He told her and laid back, not very bothered by the sharp driving she was doing.
“Ohhhh, that place!” She recognized it now, “Yeah, I went dancing there once with some of the others from school on one of their eighteen and under nights,” Tabitha grinned, “Charla has a nice ass.”
“Yeah, and then some. Jenn's party, remember?” Dominic laughed, “And by the way... wow again.”
“Who's the best girlfriend you ever had?” Tabi giggled before giving him a wink.
“Well that would be you. By default,” He admitted with a laugh, “But I'm pretty sure you'd have a stranglehold on the lead anyway.” She smiled and reached out to pat his leg quietly.
“Though it’s a damn shame I didn't talk more with them about the whole show in the first place,” She sighed wistfully, “Woulda been even more fun.”
“Yeah Skylar was half-expecting you to just jump her on stage from what I understand.” He explained with a snicker.
“There were minors present,” Tabitha shrugged as she explained, “The one I'm more upset about is Neve said I could've made out with her and she would've let it on stage,” Another wistful sigh escaped her lips, “Oh well. Just going to have to find another excuse to cause guys to pass out,”
“Yeah there were... like Neve and Skylar,” he laughed, “But by all means, find another excuse...”
“Why Dominic...are you encouraging me to be naughty with your teammates?” She giggled and turned another sharp corner just ahead of a red light.
“I kinda think that ship has already sailed. With one of them anyway,” Dominic was very amused by the conversation.
“Does that include Gavin?” She asked teasingly.
“Hey his plate is full anyway,” He answered with a smirk, “Did I tell you about him and Lorissa after Jenn's party?”
“You didn't,” She admitted, “They hooked up then? Or was that just a one night stand?”
“Nah, something to the effect of ‘Damn near everyone at that party's getting laid tonight.’ ‘Yup.’ ‘Wanna join their ranks then?’ ‘Sure, what the hell’,” He went through the basic discussion and drew another giggle from Tabi.
“They're both very cute,” She giggled and took a final turn, “It's good they got something out of it,” They finally come up to where Tabi's townhouse was at. As she pulled up her expression changed as she noticed another car in the parking area, “That's weird,”
“Yeah, I wouldn't have expected that from her,” He admitted, “But hey, good for them both. Nah they're not an item though. ... Why, who's that?”
“That's my mom's car,” She explained as she threw the car into park, “Didn't know she'd be back from her trip tonight.”
“That’s a bad thing I take it…” Dominic said more than asked.
“Puts a crimp in any extra curricular activities we might plan but...suppose you should meet her since she's actually around,” Tabitha answered with a shrug and headed for the main door.
“Well fair's fair, you met mine,” He chuckled, “And managed to not fall asleep,”
“That's not what you're going to have to worry about,” She smirked before the Weavile took his hand and brought him inside.
“Yeah I'll bet,” He smiled in spite of the situation, “So should I turn on the charm or the yes ma'am no ma'am routine?”
“I am my mother's daughter or so I've been told,” She opened the door and without any other warning called out, “Mom?” A moment later an older voice called from the kitchen, “Oh there you are Tabitha dahling! I'm in the kitchen!”
“Dahling?” Dominic couldn’t help but quietly ask. She just smirked in response and lead him into the kitchen where an older looking and taller than Tabi Weavile stood. The rather elegant looking womon wore an expensive looking skirt suit though her jacket had been taken off and a few buttons undone to reveal a rather lacey red bra. The older Weavile looked graceful though her crest had lightened in color and it was obvious she’d had some work done.
“I hope you don’t mind I ordered some takeout, dahling…oh!” The older Weavile stopped and looked as Tabitha and Dominic came into the kitchen, “Oh and who’s this, Tabitha?” she asked with a smile though it had a bit of a predatory bent to it. The younger Weavile just smiled and walked over to kiss her mom on the cheeks.
“Mom, this is my boyfriend Dominic,” She made introductions, “Dominic this is my mother Meredith,” The older of the two looked back towards Dom as most of the predatory look left her eyes, though not all of it. A few steps brought her quickly over towards him before Meredith took his cheeks in her hands and squeezed them.
“Well aren't you just a slice of cute on some adorable bread with a side of hunk to go along with it!” the older Weavile said in a sultry voice.
“Thanks, I get that a lot,” Dom said with a chuckle as he tried to be polite. She hugged him then as the Pachi’s face found itself buried against her bosom which was more ample than poor Tabi’s.
“He is just too precious, Tabitha Dahling, where did you find him?” she asked without letting him go.
“At school, mom, where else?” Tabitha responded with an eye roll.
“My sister is in the coaching program with Vince,” He fidgeted a bit against her as a blush came to his cheeks.
“That is just too precious!” Meredith gave him another squeeze before finally letting him go, “How is Vince doing? He finally got out of the hospital?” She asked as she walked back to the Chinese takeout on the counter.
“Mom he's been out for over a month now!” Tabitha answered with a sigh, “And he's doing fine, just has to be careful,”
“He has? Oh, guess where my head's been?” The older Weavile giggled in a way not unlike the younger usually did, “You two hungry?”
“I could eat, sure,” Dominic nodded.
“Fabulous!” Meredith exclaimed, “I took the liberty of getting some Chinese food. I ordered some almond torchic like you like, hun,”
“Mom I’m allergic to nuts,” the younger said in exasperation.
“Oh, so you are,” Merdith stopped before giving her daughter a smile, “Sorry, dahling, I guess I forgot,”
“That’s okay, I like almonds,” Dom gave a quick look to Tabi to try and offer her what support he could.
“Oh that's wonderful that it won't go to waste then!” Meredith said with a broad smile to the Pachi. Tabitha just sighed in response.
“S’okay, I’ll just find something in the fridge,” the younger Weavile said in defeat. She marched over towards the appliance and started to rummage through the sparse contents for anything she could find that was quick and edible.
“So tell me about yourself, Daniel,” Meredith insisted as she ate some of her kung pow torchic.
“Dominic,” He corrected, “Well, I'm a sophomore. Lead my own team. Play in a band with some guys after class, not much else to tell really,” He laughed.
“Oh that's lovely,” She responded only half paying attention to his words, “Is it a hip hop band like you kids are into now a days?”
“Nah, rock I’d say,” He said with another laugh as he picked at the food he’d been offered.
“No, mom, not the stuff you listened to growing up,” Tabitha quickly answered as her mother simply giggled. The older Weavile didn’t seem to notice her open blouse was still showing off her decent sized bosom to the Pachi who was doing his best not to look.
“I know that, dahling. Only us old people play that still,” Meredith gave the air quotes to the term old people as though it were some large game.
“Nah I like the classics personally,” Dominic laughed as he worked to keep things light, “Just not as much of an audience for us among our age I guess,”
“Ohhhhh, a young 'mon after my own heart,” Meredith smile and leaned closer towards Dom which offered him an even better view of her opened shirt.
“Mom!” Tabi finally admonished her, “Button up your blouse!” The older ‘mon looked down before she giggled and did as her daughter requested.
“I'm sorry, dahling I didn't expect any company,” Meredith explained, seemingly having the time of her life.
“Hey Tabi, I can probably pick out some of the nuts if you want to share…” Dominic offered after a chuckle as he watched the two interact.
“That's all right,” Tabitha grumbled as she pulled out some hotdogs, “The oil from the nuts is just as bad for me since they were cooked together,”
“Oh dear me, looks like I need to give you grocery money again,” Meredith said with a giggle.
“What’re you doing home anyway, mom?” The younger Weavile quickly changed the subject, “I thought you were still in Jubilife,”
“Managed to wrap up negotiations there early so figured I'd come home and sleep in my own bed for a change,” Meredith explained and popped a bit of torchic into her mouth.
“So the shows were picked up?” Tabi asked.
“They were! Means a nice little bonus for my trouble!” The older ‘mon beamed.
“And more time spent making sure production goes smooth,” The younger added without as much as a lament.
“Of course, dahling, you know how it works,” The older said. Dominic nibbled at his food quietly as he watched them go back and forth.
“All to well,” Tabitha simply said as she popped the hotdogs into the microwave.
“Have you heard from your father recently, dahling?” Meredith asked.
“He called the other night from Slateport. Usual stuff, he's doing well,” Tabitha explained and leaned against the counter.
“Really was a shame that our lives just did not match up,” the older lamented, “He's still such a handsome 'mon.”
“Mom, do I really need to hear it again?” Tabitha groused at her mother.
“Well I'm sorry, Tabitha, but you know how I feel,” Meredith responded in a less than friendly way.
“All to well,” the younger Weavile muttered. The Older looked like she was about to say something before a phone rang and Meredith walked over to pick it up.
“Hello? Oh yes, Richard dahling! It was a complete success,” Meredith covered up the mouth piece for a moment and mouthed, ‘I have to take this,’ to the two kids before she walked into the next room, “Yes, yes cocktails on me tomorrow!” Dominic set his food down and quickly crossed the room to pull Tabitha into a tight hug.
“I'll eat enough to be polite before I get full,” He explained with a consoling smile, “We'll go get something somewhere nice, my treat,” Tabi gave a sigh and just leaned against the Pachi.
“It’s pathetic isn’t it?” She said more than asked, “Her, me, the whole situation,”
“Not you,” He corrected and kissed her forehead softly.
“I know my parents love me...but you've been over here a few times and this is the first time you've met her,” She sighed as she finally opened up her heart to him about the whole situation, “You can guess what it was like growing up.”
“Yeah,” He nodded his head before hesitantly continuing, “Not sure if this is the right thing to say or not but you're always welcome over at our place. My folks may be the peak of dull, but... you know,”
“That'd be nice,” She giggled at the way he offered, “I feel bad sometimes crashing over at Vince's place since I've been doing it for ten years. Besides, I still need to thank your sister.”
“For what?” He asked curiously.
“The other night after the party,” She grinned mischievously.
“Oh, for giving us a ride over here?” He grinned back at her.
“Sure, we’ll go with that,” She giggled in response.
“Or do you mean her little show?” Dominic asked.
“Your sister really can move,” She responded and gave a purr at the memory, “I remember back freshman year watching her battle and thinking the same thing.”
“Yeah, wish I'd seen that really... you ever go up against her?” He quickly changed the subject away from the dance.
“In a class, but never in an official battle,” She admitted, “Vince and I were mostly doing doubles matches freshman year. Tessa and I went at it pretty good before the bell rang,” She smiled at the memory, “Wish we'd had a chance on an actual fight,”
“You know you probably will someday if you go pro,” He smiled proudly.
“Damn right I’m going pro!” She quickly responded before his words sunk in, “So she’s getting treatment?”
“Oh yeah, about every other day or so,” The smile on Dominic’s continued to radiate pride for his sister, “Has been for over a year now. It's slow going though. Part of the reason she did what she did at Jenn's party was to remind herself of what she was working for. Well, not really the stripper pole bit,” He fidgeted a bit, “but you get the idea.”
“I know what you mean, babe,” Tabitha reached up to kiss his cheek as she giggled, “And that's good. Hopefully we get drafted into the same league so we can tear the place down on a regular basis.”
“Hopefully,” He echoed her sentiment, “Her goal is to walk up to the podium to get her diploma when she graduates, after that she plans on being in the pros within five years maximum.”
“Have to offer being her training partner once she gets to that point,” Tabitha mused, “Be fun to fight against her while she's all sweaty and going at it and probably wearing something skimpy...”
“That’s my sister you’re talking about,” He pointed out with a roll of his eyes.
“And you know I think you're the sexiest Pachi on the planet,” She giggled in response. Quietly the two listened as Meredith’s voice could still be heard talking into the phone excitedly in the next room.
“Hey, I'm trying to put on the clueless boyfriend act here...” He grinned in response.
“Oh, Zap came up to me today after practice and actually congratulated me on us hooking up,” Tabi told him with a laugh.
“Really? Congratulated you huh?” He couldn’t help but laugh as well, “'cause he didn't say anything to me. *teases* Or by "us" do you mean you and Sky?”
“I think Sky would kill me if I said anything to Zap about that,” She grinned, “No, just bout you and me. Said something about how it’s great that a bud of his was tapping such a fine ass.”
“So…he thinks I have a fine ass, huh?” Dominic couldn’t hide the grin from his face.
“That’s what I said,” She laughed “He tried to correct me saying that I had the fine ass, so I asked him if Nikki knew he was commenting on my fine ass. He got a little flustered before he said that's not what he meant, and that I'd better treat you right or he was making sure I got benched.”
“I guess I should feel... honored?” Dominic finally figured, “I think? Though you do have a fine ass.”
“I think so too,” Tabitha agreed as she wiggled it against him. A moment later she peeked around the corner and noticed her mother had disappeared somewhere, “What do you say we go get some food now, sweet cheeks?”
“Sounds good,” Dom agreed with some enthusiasm, “Honestly I'm kind of blah on almonds to begin with.”
“And Dom?” She quickly said.
“Hmm?” He asked before he found his head pulled down and his lips crushed against hers in a tight and impassioned kiss. He returned it just as passionately and wrapped his arms around her waist; one hand gently rubbed her back gently.
“Thank you,” She whispered after she pulled back and hugged him tightly.
“Nah,” He corrected, “Thank you for giving me a chance,”
“You were there, you were hot, you passed muster,” she said with a nuzzle of his cheek, “What can I say?”
“Well thanks for staying, how's that sound?”He smiled and kissed her forehead, “What say we bail before she remembers we're here?”
“Sounds good,” She said and quickly leads him outside and to the car, “I could eat half a dozen hamburgers by this point.”
“I take it you've got the stealth-exit down to a science by now?” Dominic said with a grin.
“Not hard when your mom is busy on the phone and drinking,” Tabitha answered with a snort.
“Yeah,” Dominic answered and gave her a quick hug, “Seriously though, if you need a place to escape to, I don't think my parents will mind too much. Well my mom won't, my dad can be kind of a hardass sometimes,” He laughed, “But she gets the last word.”
“Thanks, Dominic,” She responded with a smile and a hug, “It always feels nice being wanted,”
“That I can sympathize with,” He agreed.
“Okay, enough mushyness,” She quickly pointed out and got into the car, “I'll give you a happy ending later but for now let's get some food before my mom tries to get in your pants.”
“Yeah, that part I'll pass on...” he agreed after he climbed in as well.
“Good!” Was all Tabitha said before she threw the car into drive and sped off down the road towards McVoltorbs. The two had known of each other before and had gotten together when she needed an outlet for her frustration. Now, the two had grown close and shared a bond that let them know they always had someone to count on. Neither knew what to expect even next month, let alone in a few years. Neither really cared as they just wanted to enjoy the journey as long as they could; and it was going to be one helluva ride.
At first the relationship was purely physical. She’d literally drug him off by the tail and brought him back to her place.
