my skin is shiny, and glossy, thus its the only thing i know how to use ot give that effect

The coloring and shading look good. >^.=.^< However, it seems you applied some sort of blur or brush filter to the image that makes all your lines and detail a bit fuzzy. Have you ever considered keeping your body and body colors separate, duplicating them, placing them underneath, and then running the filters? The result is that your detail and line work gets preserved while the effects you want can simply sit underneath or multiplying/blending in on top. Just an idea...
