Chiptune - The Legend of Zelda: ALttP - Sanctuary Dungeon
Also: MIDI version, MIDI MP3 version
My chiptune adaptation of Sanctuary Dungeon, using the MMC5 chipset with a triangle wave and four square waves. It sounded better this way than just the normal triangle wave and two square waves.
You may notice that this arrangement is missing the Super NES version's slow and wandering intro. I omitted that intentionally for two reasons: (1) it's much harder to do than the rest of the song, and (2) it would have required six simultaneous square wave instruments, which is beyond the capabilities of any sound chipset supported by FamiTracker. Besides, introductory flourishes are more characteristic of enhanced remixes, and NES music tended to be simpler and cut to the chase sooner. It works out alright.
