Just a little reminder to
LaurenRivers Pistols and rifles aren't you're only friends.
You can shoot anything from little tiny birdshot to 1 ounce slugs with this baby. And believe me, it's got the POWER! ;3

For home defense, it's what I recommend. Although I'd change the buttstock to a pistol grip. Makes it a lot easier to handle and maneuver indoors. Leave the chamber empty, then rack a round when you suspect something (as loudly as you can), then yell "Honey call the cops", also loudly. Most likely you will hear glass break or the door slam as the perp leaves the premises. The sound of a pump shotgun loading is a very intimidating sound.
I like your ideas.....on ammo especially! This is an old gun I picked up at a Texas gun show. Had to have a new firing pin made for it, but it shoots beautifully now. And I definitely agree with you about the sound of a pump gun chambering a round. Anyone with an ounce of sense will turn and run when they hear that.
Well there's your bunny shooting gun (Shoots bunnies to keep them off your grass. DAMMIT BUNNIES! I SAID KEEP OFF THE LAWN!) but what I want is a railbun, a bunny-shooting gun. One that can accelerate a bunny up to Mach 3 for use as a projectile weapon.
Or possibly a bunny that IS a gun: http://static.neatoshop.com/images/.....-l.jpg?v=18112 (If you had a machine bun would it go of with a rabbit-tat-tat?)

I likes having bunnies on my lawn, thank you very much!! In fact I likes them anywhere and everywhere. I've never had too many bunnies!!!
As to shooting a bunny.....naw..... I want them on my lap...or curled up next to me. one or the other.....maybe both come to think of it.

Ghost ring sight is a quick acquisition aperture sight. Sometimes.called a combat sight. A thin ring mounted where the traditional v notch would be and a slightly fatter front sight. You center the target in the ring then bring the front sight up to the target. Easier doing than explaining.
I got a High Standards also. 18-7 Riot. They are great home defense. Yours has a newer stock on it. Pretty. ^_^ very reliable. BIG Scatter. Will hit everything but your target further than 50 feet. But still a very nice shotgun. Just took mine to the range and killed a few skeet. But it, as I said, has a huge spray. Yeah Riot gunners!!
Good for home defense, I would shorten the stock a a bit, maybe by 2-3 inches, or make it more like a breeching shotgun, and remove it entirely. Full stock is too cumbersome for close quarters firing, slows you down.
Also, I'd get a sidearm to compliment it. A Single Action revolver, just for the slower travel speed of the rounds will make wall penetration less likely.
But, all in all, not a bad shotgun
