Colan's elder sister, and not like him at all, Taara was playful and outgoing and did her best to help protect her little brother and help him be less antisocial. She promised to keep him safe... and kept that vow to the end, killed in action trying to protect him on a disastrous mission. With Jerin, Colan, and Maarkas being the only survivors, and everyone but Jerin heavily injured, it seemed like the squad was done; but new soldiers were added and it began again. Will their new story turn out any differently?

I wanted to get a picture of these two, and might do more family members as I did with Yllran. We'll see.

I didn't spend forever tracking out families, but I did quickly come up with immediate family relations, because they're the most likely to be asked about. Marking certain parents as dead can also give backstory to characters, so it was a quick way to develop each character by deciding the state/existence of their parents, siblings, children, partner, and other immediate relations.

Some are more important than others. Certain characters may not divulge family information unless asked; others' is relevant to the plot or they mention it up-front.
