An excerpt from A Howling Good Time

Howler cracked his neck and grinned, “I’ll be fine, lot tougher than I look. No small thanks to me suit either.” Noticing Vesara looking at him slightly fidgety, he raised an eyebrow, “What’s the matter?”
Vesara deadpanned as she pointed up towards her face, “I think that explosion might have been a little too close for comfort… Josh.”
Howler’s eyes went wide at the vixen calling him by his name before a hand shot up to his face. Realizing that at least half of his mask had been destroyed in the blast, he sighed deeply, “Well… shit. Don’t suppose you’d be willing to keep this to yourself would ya?”
Vesara’s expression remained neutral for a minute before grinning, “Actually, I’ve already though of a way I want to use this to my advantage.”
“And um, what exactly is that going to be?” Howler gulped. His eyes went wide again as the vixen hooked her thumbs under goggles and eye mask before pulling them off and shaking her hair free.
“I’d like to go ahead and finish our date,” Jessica giggled. Josh’s mouth hung open as she crawled over to him and sat in his lap. “But first,” she said softly, before pulling him in close and planting a long, deep kiss on his lips, “that’s for saving my life.”Art by
