The Naturists of Fire are best suited to surviving in the harsher regions of Vhanarr, able to use their mysticism to find warmth and heat wherever they can find a bit of shelter. They are more willing to live in caves and between mountains, mining up precious gemstones and metals for use in jewellery and mysticism components. This, however, usually puts them in places without good sources of food, so they often trade or are forced to send out hunting parties for days at a time. While they prefer meat raw, as do most Balloh, they are able to cook it to preserve it, aiding the survival of their remote settlements.
It helps that most of the creatures they are able to hunt are either very large or very plentiful. The surface creatures they hunt can be dragged back to camp, and underwater they can either try to take down large creatures and pull them back to a hole in the ice, or a team of Balloh can take four corners of a net and swim quickly to gather up a group of smaller fish. Which technique is employed typically depends entirely on the area, and what creatures live there, as some places are lacking in big or small fish. More immobile creatures such as clams are easy pickings, but then comes the rather difficult task of getting them open.
And while their fur does a good job of keeping them warm, they can't deny the extra heat from a good fire feels good on particularly cold nights. They tend to be a little suspicious and wary of travelers, as their supplies are far from plentiful and they can spare little. The Naturists of Fire cremate their dead; those who live by the fire, die by the fire.
They make their jewelry from gold or rose gold, which is an alloy of gold and copper. Each will have a necklace or a ring, and they can additionally have bracelets, earrings, or headpieces. They are the only clan that wears tail bands.
The one curled up by the fire is a child, which is why it has very little jewelry. The Balloh tend to raise children in a sort communal fashion; the parents look after their own children most of the time but since each Balloh fit to do so will be sent on hunting excursions sooner or later, frequently children will be looked after by other families. In a sense, most clans are one big family, as they're small enough for everyone to know everyone else to some degree, and they always have to be prepared to fight to protect each other. Communally-raised children are more used to this concept by the time they reach adulthood.
Attempting to actually plot out a graph of the relationships of a Balloh clan would be very complicated indeed; they tend to form a dense web of relations. There are blood relatives, of course, close friends, the High Mystics plus the clan leader, their understudies, spirit partners, friendly rivals... plus any of these can also be in groups of hunters, musicians who perform together, traders who travel in groups, and so on and so forth.
The clan leader's job is to know all of these and bear them in mind when they assign tasks to clan members, or (re)train people to do new tasks. There are always more hunters than strictly necessary since some may come back empty-handed.
