As the years was going by the clan got bigger and healthier just like Fizz and Ama who were growing up and became two nice and full of life children. Fizz was always taking care of his shy little twin sister, but, he liked to tease her too just like any other big brother does. As they were playing on the forest near the clan this morning, Ama ran a bit too far and Fizz started to yell at her for not being very careful. But the scent of a strange strong smoke in the air made them stop immediately to argue. Something was happening not very far. Something unusual. The two children climbed up the biggest hill to take a look at what was going on. But all they saw when up there was a big fire in the forest and sinister sounds which seemed to come from the burning fire. It was enough to worry the two childs who decided to run back to the clan as fast as they can to tell the adults about what they discovered.
Les années passèrent et le clan ne cessa de croître et de se développer sainement, tout comme Fizz et Ama grandirent et devinrent deux adorables enfants débordant de vies. Fizz prenait toujours grand soin de sa timide et frêle sœur jumelle, veillant sur elle comme un parfait grand frère, mais, parce qu'il était aussi un grand frère, il aimait également l'embêter de temps à autres comme n'importe quel autre frère le faisait avec sa sœur. Alors qu'ils jouaient dans la forêt toute proche du village ce jour-là, Ama s'aventura un peu trop loin et Fizz commença à la gronder de se montrer aussi imprudente. Mais l'odeur de fumée forte et nauséabonde qui vint soudainement leur titiller les narines leur fit cesser immédiatement leurs chamailleries. Quelque chose était en train de se passer pas très loin. Quelque chose d'inhabituel. Les deux enfants grimpèrent au sommet de la plus haute colline des environs pour jeter un oeil sur ce qui se passaient en contre-bas, là d'où la fumée émanait. Mais tout ce qu'ils virent fut un grand feu qui s'élevait de la forêt et des hurlements sinistres semblaient accompagner les flammes et la fumée dans leur progression vers la route menant au village... C'était largement suffisant pour inquiéter les deux enfants qui prirent leurs jambes à leur cou et filèrent droit au village aussi vite qu'ils le purent pour prévenir les adultes de ce qu'ils venaient de découvrir.

Ah, your feeling might be right. Sadly life can't be only pink and butterflies when you're ruling a clan of people completely marginals and not very well tolerated by the rest of the societies. But let's see what will happen on here ! ^^

At least they chose a good place for the village. The best way in is a valley with steep sides, surrounded by similar steep hills.
This makes a head on attack a death trap as they could just close the doors behind them and rain arrows down onto attackers while defenders on the ground prevent them getting too close to the walls.
Any other attack path would allow them to keep the high ground making it easily defensible with pikemen and archers.
