I think I'm past that point. I have 10 planes now, a MCPX BL, a quad I made from custom parts, and this odd little servo-driven roller thing. I don't even know what to call it. I'm also addicted to the flight simulator. I've gone through 3 different ones now and the current one I'm using (number 3) has logged over 21 days of total flight. I have no life outside RC and the fandom, really.
I'm pushing 17 cars and trucks, 4 were custom built. I've got a v1 mcpx and a 130x red bull, two micro quads, and a boat! I've been meaning to get a simulator, but i keep getting drawn back to the car section at my LHS.. even if they put up an electric fence they couldn't keep me away!
Be careful about giving them ideas! I just finished my eagle scout project a while ago. I planned out, organized, and built an offroad RC car track large enough for 1/8 scale races. It's a clay surface too, so there aren't any ruts or tracks left by the cars. It's built on top of the old local landfill, so the RC club has used it for our flying area as well. Currently there are 2 landing strips for planes, a smooth helicopter pad, a dirt oval for RC cars, and the off-road track. We also built an elevated drivers stand for the tracks. If you're ever in Indiana, I could point you to one of the guys with the key to get in. I also have one, but I'm almost always stuck doing homework or something of the sort.
Awesome project, would have liked to help! Texas is a ways away, but if they find a better way to pump oil out there then who knows, I may be in town XD I wasn't in the hobby when i did my scout project, but our local track could use some work, lol. I'd help the hobby shop relevel the track if I weren't working so much, but 7-13's don't leave me with much time anymore. Oh well, it's still pretty good for a free basher track.
