FBA Draft Hopeful:
Name: Julian Cross-Kiraly
Nicknames: Ink, Tattoo
Species: Canine (Saluki)
Position: Shooting Guard
Height: 6' 4" / 1.94 m
Weight: 170 pnds. / 77 kgs
Hometown: Cannes, France
Residence: Montreal, QC.
The eldest of the Cross-Kiraly sons, his parents upper-middle class businessmen, Julian grew up in a VIP seat around the international glitz and glamour that was a habit for a city like Cannes. His family avidity for sports was a curse at first, with him taking interest in basketball, whislt his younger brothers went with the more traditional and relatively more popular soccer. This meant that his afternoons were filled with endless twenty-one games with some other misfits and street matches instead of formal training.
To top it off, since he was the first one of his friends to break the six-foot barrier, the canine was normally stuck in Power Forward or Center roles. The latter he refused to play, while the former he endured and carried on, but knew that wasn't his call. His lanky build was not made to block, he was made to pass and score. With him, the ball will always find its way to others' hands.
It was on his later years of high school that his talent of handling and passing the ball and his overall knowledge of the theory were spotted by one of his gym teachers, which offered Julian formal courses and talked about the potential his ability could have overseas. "America is where your talents will explode and you'll be in the limelight" he said ad nauseam. Truth be told, that dog always had his eye on the States, but it seemed the Maple Leaf country was his gateway. Family residing there and the carrers offered cemented his choice.
The decision wasn't met with absolute approval. Some arguing with his family later, they saw that since that's what he wanted more than anything, he crossed the puddle to Montreal with some help and shelter of an uncle and enrolled at the Université Canadienne de la Faune de Montréal and strived to get his degree in Advertising and PR.
His grades and degree his priorities, that did not limit him to squeeze some basketball in, and after trying out and impressing despite being a freshman, he was let in the rookie team and steadily rose up the ranks. Over his university's life, the team managed to become the first on the Quebec-round rookie Competition to win two titles back to back. The team was noted for the extreme amount of time they were in control of the ball. Julian could score decently, but his passing of the ball was the main perk of his. He could've opted for the main University team, but issues arose with an ill family member and was forced to skip a semester. He used that time to hone his skills.
Well, that and to finish and finally get a tattooing license and part-time job and to get enough ink to last three lifetimes on every patch of skin that he could afford at the time. And he left space for more.
Once things got back in track, he's retook his studies and was offered to try-out for the University team.
His skills were as hot as they always were. He's ready to attest if one of his passions can actually become a profitable reality. He's ready to play and aim for the top.
Random Facts:
-Self-proclaimed tattoo addict. Both arms in their way to being fully tattooed; a sleeve on the left and various designs of the right, and several other designs on his front body and legs. his back is mostly clean. Saving for something nice in the long run.
-Has a pair of lip piercings arranged in the snake bite pattern. Oddly, that was the modification that got most heat from his family. "On my deathbed, I better remember you as a normal looking!" his parents said.
-Self conscious over his bit too tidy of a handwriting. As an Advertising major and artist, he's been told his own handwriting looks "girly" lots of times before.
-Although French-born and Montreal resident, heavily prefers the use of English as it feels that will give him more opportunities with bigshots. Won't mean he'll not curse in his native tongue when time is right.
