'Stay away from me!' Bloodsight hissed, sleek black fur standing on end as he stared at the she-cat in front of him.
Sparktail frowned and tilted her head in confusion, pricking her ear and softening her gaze. Her sightless eyes stared at the young tom.
'I can tell you're troubled my dear. I can sense in your heart that this aggression is not who you are.'
Bloodsight puffed out his fur but winced as tears started flowing from his blood red eyes. Through gritted teeth he began to meow, 'Everyone runs from me. I was to be the chosen kit but when i opened my eyes, they wanted to sacrifice the demon they thought i was. I ran for my life and now every one runs from me. These eyes...These stupid eyes!'
He started whimpering, fighting back his loneliness.
Sparktail moved closer to the young cat and raised a paw. Bloodsight flinched, expecting a blow, but instead the she-cat placed it around his neck and pulled him into a hug, her own sadness welling in her eyes.
Bloodsight hesitated only a moment before wrapping his paws around her and crying over her shoulder, trembling against her fur.
'It's okay to be different,' She meowed, 'It's okay.
