Usually if its mass produced it is 440 stainless. Sometimes it can be high carbon which is very hard and rigid but generally ok for short swords but I usually prefer tempered spring steel.

Ok so it may be good quality. Im the type of person that puts alot of thought into the grade of steel that is in a blade because if I need to use it I dont want it to break on contact. If I use it I want it to kill.

trust me. Im very skilled in methods of torture. I make them wish for death. Everything to shock torture, to removing fingernails and teeth, to removing layers of skin without them bleeding... the list goes on. Including skinning a person live. It is possible. Though they mostly die of shock at that point. Im a demented fucker.
