At college, we've been designing concepts of a calendar :) I decided my theme would be Zodiacs but in an element conflict eg. Fire vs Water, Earth vs Air.etc.

So we've been trying out different media o3o


1. A pen drawing of a ram which represents Aries and the fire is the element for Aries.

2. Another pen drawing but this time it's twins which represents Gemini and the air is the element for Gemini.

3. Coloured pencils and graphic pencils drawing of 2 fishes which represents Pisces. I tried to make a magical feel to them with the colours.

4. An oil pastel drawing of Pisces with the water element. This is just testing out so that's why it's only 1 fish. I'm not really used to oil pastels so sorry if it doesn't look very smooth. I had to scratch the pastels to get the scales effect and the shine xP I did try using a white pastel but it didn't help too much.

5. Concept of what the month January would look like, made with both pen and oil pastels. I'm pleased with this but I think it might look even better digital. Capricorn (sea goat) is using its Earth powers whereas Aquarius is using its wind powers (to be honest I always thought Aquarius was a water element e.e .....because...."water" carrier).
