There are several members of the Mode family who depict the various types of yaoi. The four main members are Kiss Mode (shonen-ai), Love Mode (yaoi), Hard Mode (hard yaoi), and Grin or Smile Mode (shota).

Grin or Smile is drawn wearing is trade mark kitty cap that he hardly ever takes off. A cute little son of a gun Smile has his eyes on all three of his brothers unable to make up his mind as to whom he loves most. But hey thats okay! He's got time and loves to play tricks and games with each of them.

Grin is loosely based on Konome from Dr.Ten whom I adore.
