The four young guards went towards the throne room that was ahead through the double wooden doors. the castle was well built and had tapestries and stain glass windows of many animals on the wall. the stain glass had pictures of heroes of the great war. Horses, thrushes, mice and foxes. There were squirrels, bats,eagles, cats, rabbits, rats hares and badgers in there was well. The tapestries had symbols on them, each had part of an animal. fish tail, mammal paw, reptile claw and bird wind on each of them.
The throne room was much the same as the corridor with stain glass windows and tapestries. The floor had a red long cloth leading to the king from the corridor to the throne. The left side had the paw and the wing was on the right side. The king was there, wearing his crown, royal blue robe and maroon cape with white wool on the bottom and on the neck. Next to him was a fox wearing a red cape, dark blue tunic and red bandanna. He saw the young guards come towards the king.
"Russel, Sandy, Holly and Squeak. Glad you came. I need to give you your gold for your days work. " The king said. The warrior fox passed the bag to the king. The king got up and gave each beast their money. Each had a bag of gold. The horse, Sandy passed it to the rider on her back to keep.
"Russel. Shall we head back home? Your mother and Charmer are probably cook us a nice meal when we get back," The warrior said.
"Sure father. Holly, Sandy and Squeak. I see you tomorrow," Russel the fox said.
"I need to get back to the church and help my parents with the sick," The thrush holly said.
"I cant wait to get back home. get some grub down me and of to bed." The mouse said.
"Typical Squeak. I'm getting hungry too." Sandy said.
"Your shrew knight looks hungry too. Poor thing," Holly said.
"I'm off now. See you all laters," Squeak said and left in a hurry. Sandy and Holly followed Russel and his father out the castle into town. Holly left for the church in the east and sandy went home in the west side. Russel and his family lived in the south side of town.
