Mayflower cradling her son Saul after a long and arduous journey into the desert.
It had been nearly a week since they were separated from the rest of their family after the attack, when all the ships were already sailing and far from New Jerusalem, Mayflower decided to venture into the huge sprawling desert, that was left clean and barren with only a few hints of civilization nearby.
The desert itself was a ocean of sand, full countless dunes, a graveyard for both man and beast and man-made refuse.
Bur after a long journey Mayflower had discovered an oasis and perhaps a temporary sanctuary for them both. She knew it would be a long journey to find a city undamaged and still standing and longer still to find her husband, her oldest son and her daughter. But she did not despair for she was strong in spirit and with her son in her arms, she knew she had the will and the love that was more than enough to encourage to move on forward.
I think I'm improving my painting skills so far, I definitely come a long way since when I first started using Photoshop and I feel that this image comes the closest so far of how I envision these two characters of mine.
