What is a tentabox? A tentabox is an original species made by me.
Tentaboxes are named because of their fondness for living in ornate and lovely boxes. They are actually tentacled creatures that, in the wild, dwell in burrows deep in the earth, never showing their bodies as they stay safely hidden underground. Only the tentacles emerge to wiggle around and snatch up food. It is impossible to forcibly remove a tentabox from its burrow. The only way to capture one is to entice it with a box that it considers nicer than its burrow. All tentaboxes have different tastes. Some prefer boxes that match their color scheme, others seem drawn to shiny objects, and still some seem to have no rhyme or reason to why they prefer the boxes they prefer. By leaving the box open outside the burrow overnight, which is when most tentaboxes become active, and returning in the morning, it gives the creature an opportunity to examine the offering. If it likes the box, you may return in the morning to find that the tentabox has moved in.
It is difficult to say exactly how large they are, as tentaboxes are masters at squeezing themselves into small places. Therefore they have no problem getting into the relatively small boxes that most domestic tentaboxes are found in.
Tentaboxes are a very widely varied species, which come with many interesting traits. Some are rarer than others, and traits can be passed down to offspring. As a whole, they make excellent pets which are affectionate and easy to care for. Because they are so widely varied, they are a popular species.

They are pretty much explained in the description there. I wanted to practice making nicely designed layout sheets, so I thought the best way to do it was to come up with something like this.
They are tentacled monsters that almost never show their bodies and make excellent pets.
There are many variations among the species, such as colors, number of tentacles, and textures. Some traits are rarer than others, as illustrated by the red, blue, and green color key at the top.

I will be holding adoptions and such in the future, but not until I get all the guides up. Otherwise my ramblings about which ones have rare attributes and which ones do not would be rather nonsensical.
There are still quite a few categories of attributes I haven't gotten to get through.
As a whole, they are going to be sold, but I'm considering doing events such as raffles and whatnot in which free ones could be obtained. When those come around, you will know about it haha.

I'm not exactly sure, however many I need to get through the remaining categories.
I still have to cover Textures, Unique tentacle tips, colors, number of tentacles, and box variations.
And of course any other good ideas I can come up with or are suggested to me in the meantime.
