Bit late, but...
"There is no need for you to be human."
I think that's the main thing that unnerves me about this. That statement sums up the attitude that whatever is doing this is showing towards her. Her transformations themselves are fine; it's why they're being done. Her life is just being treated as a means to an end. She isn't a person to it, she might as well just be an object capable of moving under its own power. I mean, the first few were quite lovely; I'm sure she would have even liked being left as a dog/fox(??) girl, but what she wants to happen to her own body clearly isn't a concern for it.
