Lightsabers require special crystals, all collected personally by each creator, to focus the beam that makes the lightsaber work. Blue and green are just the colors of the most commonly used crystals, but there are many others, some of which makes the lightsaber work very differently.

That's kinda the trick with lightsabers. They damage the opponent with heat instead of kinetic impact (cutting), so putting more muscle into your swing actually hurts you, because the "blade" is moving faster and therefore has less time to melt through the target.
I think most lightsaber users focus more on speed and control rather than brute strength, since the only ones that strength would eb useful against are other lightsaber-wielders.

In order for a Dual lightsaber to function, it requires special crystals, collected by each creator individually. Crystals come in a variety of colors. The most common ones are blue and green, but there are many others that cause the lightsaber to act differently.
