My fanmade/OC species pretty much.

:bulletgreen: No sparkle desus! I'm sorry but no, it is genetically impossible for luryans to be 'sparkly' or rainbow color of any sort.
:bulletgreen: This is a closed species, it's less than likely I'll let you make one unless you're a friend or someone who gave me a liable enough reason to allow it.
:bulletgreen: Hopefully there are people smart enough to read the description, if not, well... That's your loss, I suppose!

Luryans is a word that had no actual meaning: Lury is perhaps a word derived from “Lory”. Though, perhaps due to the factor that these creatures are remarkably fuzzy in certain areas, it was probably a misspelling or mispronunciation of “furry-an” and thus “Luryans” were adopted. These creatures are native to the planet “Luria”, perhaps also where they got the “Luryan” name from.
Their origins have actually been unknown even to them, as there was an event thousands of years ago where any records of how they came to be or the history before then simply disappeared or were destroyed. Despite how they are now, they are still trying to determine what happened that may have caused all historical records to vanish like that.
What they are aware of is that they are within a period where technology and tribal ages have very much slapped together, a group of them managed to gain enough intelligence to build sturdy enough vehicles designed specifically for space flight. They live in a tribal society, with non-advanced looking villages that have buildings with nice dome roofs or coverings. Luryans also seem rather barbaric, usually larger in body size either due to muscle or having more fat.
They are a Female Dominant species, where the females or any feminine figures happen to have most of the power in either a leadership way or from gender culture (its like a role reversal to some degree). Women always make the decisions and usually the one that chooses or wins over potential mates. Reasons why is because females are in fact more common than males, there is a 70/30 percent ratio regarding gender birthrate. Females are larger and taller than males, while males happen to have more fur or fluff than females do.
Because they appear barbaric, they are usually mostly a warrior race, with very rare magic users that are called “Shamans” or “Witch Doctors” and they all happen to be increasing intelligence every generation (probably how they managed to remain “Tribal” but have created advanced technology). Due to this, they are either very aggressive, dominant, or indifferent.
Luryans are socially monogamous and sexually polygamous, but are very ever rarely sexually monogamous or socially polygamous.
They are a very adaptable species regarding environment and situational events, and are extremely territorial. These guys aren't your typical walk in the park.
Appearance
They are mostly humanoid and share quite a bit with humans, though usually they are one or two feet taller than average homo sapiens. Appearance is similar as shown in the image, usually always have their hair styled that way and would usually have some band around it (kinda similar to Native American headpieces to some degree), the hair on their foreheads usually shaved off or grown with the rest of their hair. Horns are usually different style or shape, usually only have two ontop of their heads and are commonly within hues of brown or ivory/grey. Long tail with a furred tip, sometimes may even have fur going down it like a dragon; four digits on hands and feet, may even occasionally have feathers, furred or feathered antennae, furred feline/canine-like ears, or even lighter/darker colored freckles or spots.
Luryans are any color that aren't particularly too bright (somewhat 'greyscale' or dark), usually rather furred despite how slick their bodies seem to be, and they share some reptilian traits. While they may have feathers and fur, they do not have wings nor can they fly. Males are smaller/shorter than females with larger ears and carry more muscle and furr/feathers while females are bigger with more fat to accommodate bearing of children and also have smaller ears. It may be common for females to have more than two breasts, like they would have four or six and usually around there. Their claws are retractable.
Their eyes are usually similar color range as humans, but have a yellowish scelera and will rarely have white. Blood color is a dark reddish-violet and will never be any other color regardless. Full blooded Luryan children usually share similar traits with that of their parents ( more fur, feathers, horn style/color/size, spots/freckles, size/shape, colors, furred/feathered antennas, etc. )
Size range || Females are 7 to 8 feet, Males are 5 to 6' 8” feet.
- They do not gain extra appendages! Other than the females having extra breasts. They just gain more fur, or feathers, have different style horns, etc.
Reproduction
Females are more common than makes in a 70/30 percent ratio as mentioned earlier, this does induce crossbreeding for females who are either extremely picky or have no males to mate with (though may simply cause females to change their sex much like how frogs and velociraptors could to continue populating the planet) and while social monogamy is common, they are sexually polygamous to induce more effective breeding. Sometimes, though rarely, they may take on socially polygamous relationships; like two females being married to one male, which is called “effective polygamy” and is a popular alternative to maintain breeding strictly within same species or different species.
Pregnancy lasts for approximately five to six months and they commonly have live birth, ever rarely having eggs unless the fathering parent is a species that produces eggs. Luryan parents are usually very protective over their young until a they reach adulthood and have learned everything there is to know in order to survive on their own. Coloration can be mixed or either of both parents, or may sometimes result from the coloration of their ancestors that were before them and their parents.
Hermaphrodites are highly possible, they either happen during when a female is attempting to restructure her gender or from birth. Though, since they are rather rare, they haven't been added to the ref above; but they do share similar appearance of both male and female: having muscled arms and legs, large stomach, breasts, dual genitals, more fur/feathers, height happens to be in between both male and female, etc.
Lifespan
Their lifespan is double the amount that humans have today, meaning that Luryans can live up to 250+ years and die within that time. Each generation or decade may increase the span depending how epigenetics and circumstances happen to work. Because they live twice as long as humans, this causes them to keep their youth longer than average, sometimes they may even remain young when they start reaching the end of their life.
Diet
Luryans are mostly Carnivorous, though capable of an omnivorous diet if circumstances call for it. Their teeth were specifically developed to tear flesh and their claws and horns were made to rip open skin to allow for access of the juicy meat inside. Carnivorous diet is also another possible reason why this species are commonly aggressive. They eat two to three times a day, usually in between amounts or larger and can last two entire months before dying of starvation.
Culture
As mentioned earlier, they remain in a tribal stage but have rather advanced technology and science. Think of their culture similar to Native Americans and ancient tribal system that dated back thousands of years. Luryans happen to wear bands over their heads to make their hair look like indian headpieces and wear clothing like skirts or tube tops (though may even just go topless) with plain shoes and other accessories with various brown or gold hues with occasionally other colors in the spectrum.
