Now with all the dust settled, I can finally sit down and make a decent announcement! =)
On Wednesday, I graduated from New York University, attending what will surely be a historic graduation ceremony held at Yankee Stadium, the first and only ceremonies to be held at the stadium, since it will be torn down in place for a new one next year!
The following day, the college within NYU that I attended, the Leonard N. Stern School of Business, Undergraduate College, held its convocation ceremonies to confer degrees to 663 bachelors' degree candidates, including myself! I was granted the honor of graduating with a BS in Business Administration (with curriculum foci in CPA Accounting and in Finance) magna cum laude in my class, though unfortunately just hundredths of a GPA point shy of the top 10% (I justify it by the fact that I enrolled in a fairly rigorous curriculum).
My before, during and after the ceremony, my deans and some of my professors approached me to tell me that my presence at the university would be greatly missed, not only because of my involvement in the classroom and Stern school activities, but also because they appreciated my commitment and spirit as the mascot for NYU, and they would miss seeing me perform.
Of course, just because I hung up the fur for NYU doesn't mean that my relationship will end, as I'm sure I will be very involved with a lot of things as an alumnus of the college. Plus, I've got plenty of performance outlets with JD and the rest of my suits to come! =)
