Anubis transporting the heart of someone who recently passed away to be weighed against the feather of Maat on the scales.
This was a quick mixed media experiment on bainbridge 80 board. Acrylics watercolor and colored pencil. It was fun to do. The scan took out some fur detail 8(
I`d like to do more, and a cooler version of Anubis. I looked up what he commonly wears in Egyptian art, and came up with this. Though I`d like to do a more polished version of the god sometime in the future. This was kind of a rush job.
This is a gift for my art history teacher, Maureen, whom I will never have as a teacher again. She`s one of the nicest, most caring people I`ve ever met.

Great piece! Would love to see more egyptian gods from you!
Thanks. id like to find the time to do more.
For some reason American Gods popped into my head I guess because I enjoyed the particular scene involving this. It was well done, and this, too, is amazing. I can't wait to see what other Anpu things you'll be doing. :3
have you ever seen the plush Anubis and Bastet made by ToyVault? they are adorable. :)
Thanks a lot
