What's up with his left hand (on the wall)? The thumb looks like it's sticking up, or am I just seeing things?

There's nothing up with it yet, I basically just dropped my pencil on the page really hard and a sketch fell out of it. x3 Seriously, don't pay any attention to anatomy on these initial sketches, their entire purpose is to make sure the basic idea is right. Anatomy comes later.

I like seeing your rough sketches. I was actually just wondering earlier today about the progress of drawing a full body correctly. This really helps show how you frame out a rough body. Thanks for sharing with us! I really appreciate and enjoy your work! Keep up the awesomeness. :)

I'm not sure my sketches are the best example of setting up a character... I don't actually follow the underlying skeleton all that closely, there's a lot of 'feeling it out' when I draw.

I also actually only post these initial sketches to make sure I've got the right basic idea, but despite all that, if they manage to help you in some small way then I'm very happy to hear that. :P
