More venting actually, little Sparks isn't happy about what's going on in real life lately with others backstabbing him over what should be a friendly competition.
As for the picture I'm trying some more techniques in Photoshop that I haven't used before. There's always room for improvement ^-^

Sucks that you're going through that.
In a lighter note (pardoning the pun) nice job on the electricity. If you don't mind some advice, you should keep in mind that lightning is a direct source of light when doing the shading, so the distribution of shadows should take that into account.

Wouldn't call it a mess up, it's just that the sparks are the closest and most direct light source, so the illuminated surface should be defined around that first, the surfaces lit by the light that comes from the upper corner would look darker in comparison. Though I think this is the point where I should ask if what I say makes sense or leaves you more confused than before xD
