Hey ho, gang...

I'm trying to get "down with the kids" over this crazy computer art dealio. Open Canvas is a fun little program for doodling about in. I've not touched colours for half a decade so it's kind of an exercise to try to over come my reluctance to "splash out" with colour.

Here we have a challenge I set myself to draw a Metroid (Colourful, blobby little critters from the eponymous computer games) with as few real black lines as possible. In the end, I used dark lines for the "teeth" but nothing else, so was pretty happy with myself.

I was going to do this in time for the American Mother's Day, but it seems that I missed that! Oh well... The joke is that in the second Metroid game, one of these energy sucking little critters hatches and imprints itself on the player character in a comical twist!

Anyhow. I'm working on some TF type doodles in OC, hope to have something nice to upload soon.
