The first in a salvo of Project Toon Nose!

In mid-March 2014 the three of us convened for a weekend of clown and toon fun. On Toon Day it took me roughly 6 hours in total to apply, blend and color all three makeups, which is a personal record so far. With that much to do and a limited amount of daylight one needs good organization and zero frittering away of time.
I am very pleased with how all three makeups and wardrobes turned out. It has been awhile since I last updated anyone on the toon nose, the last one being from late August when the sculpt was finalized.

My intention is to sell these toon noses down the road once I am fully confident these are sales worthy. For the record, they blended rather well and were quite comfortable to wear despite blocking off the nasal passages. I will explore adding tubing that runs through to the prosthetic's nostrils or even underneath the cheek area for added comfort, but this would most likely be for mask versions.
So sit back, relax, and watch the unfurling of Project Toon Nose over the next several submissions. Click the tumblr links, and... Enjoy!

Having just found ya on Tumblr and "FOLLOWED"... I totally get the toon thing and how well it works into your clown stuff. Pretty neat man. :) I doubt I ever go for the clown route for costumed fun, but I admire those that are and have less to hide behind when having fun with the public. Not to mention... The time it takes to paint yourself up. *claps*
I'll be honest, having mask versions of the clowns and toons would be awesome. The makeup does take up a ton of time, which is fine but can detract from the spontaneity while everyone gets prepared. That said the performance flexibility and uncanny (I said it) realism of a good makeup can't be beat, even by the best state of the art silicone mask. The trouble is absolutely worth it ultimately. *bows*
