Bling vs. Husk

“Disappointment”

Ella returned from the nurse office after Nurse Rocco had assured her that Thomas would be perfectly fine. She allowed herself a grin as she thought of the boisterous nurse complaining to Thomas that he had come in so many times with imagined injuries that the one time he was hurt he hadn’t shown up.

As Ella entered the arena she saw Rene talking with her opponent, Stormy that was what the sableye had called her. Was drinking a little water and talking to Rene, she smiled and walked up to the pair.

“Hi guys,” Ella cheers out as she looks at Rene, “You wouldn't have tipped her off to my moves Rene... naw you're too sweet to do that!” Ella ruffled Rene's hair as she sat down with them.

Stormy starts to innocently whistle as Rene coughed and gave Ella some water to drink. He then quickly put on his I’m to cute to pummel face.

Ella didn’t notice the acts or decide not to comment on them “You're a little out of tune…” She smiles “Aww well it was a good match anyway!” Ella extends a paw for a hand shake, “Right?”

“Right,” Stormy said as she shakes Ella’s hand, “and next time you won't fool me with that Ohh Thomas line while your sleeping!”

Ella gave the pair an even larger smile as she answered. “That kind of stuff rarely gets me, when I'm in a match I'm too excited to sleep!” The lucario jumped up and thrusts a fist in the air to ill straight her point. “ ...though I do hope Thomas is ok.?”

“I'm sure he’s fine Guns has never put anyone in the hospital for more than a few days and he was holding back a little on your boyfriend.” Stormy answered.

“Boyfriend!! Ella you’ve been holding back on the rest of the girls.” Rene commented.

Ella upon hearing this laughs.” No, no, you couldn't have gotten it more wrong. Ella said as she regains her composure. “We've just know each other since first grade, he's my closest friend. Almost like a little brother to me, if you know what I mean, and to say he has self esteem and confidence issues is putting it mildly. SO I just can't help but worry about him is all.”

Stormy leaned in close to Ella and winked at Rene as she said, “Yeaaah sure Ms. Oooh Thomas that’s so nice Suuuure.” Stormy gave Rene her evil girl grin as he began to giggle at the flustered lucario.

“Yep! Thinking back to the day he'd said he come to the P.C.A. too! It was actually the day I evolved into a Lucario, so I have him to thank!” Ella tried to cover her little slip.

Stormy giggle at the excuse as she answered. “Ok whatever you say Ella, but are you sure that he thinks that way of you? I have a slight physic ability and he was giving off some good vibrations during out match.”

Ella blushed as she looks away slightly, “I've wondered…”

“Oh please don’t be upset Ella.” Rene said as he stood beside her.


Stormy massages Ella’s shoulder as she tried to get the lucario to relax. “Just talk to him after the match after all he won't be able to run while laying down in the nurses office. Oh look it seems that Bling and Husk are getting ready to fight. we better move.”


Ella gave a slight sigh as she got up. “If I know Husk we could just keep standing here for all it matters…”

“Aww you don’t think he’ll just give up again do you ?” Rene asked

“Probably if Bling you called him.” Ella asked while Stormy nodded her head. “knows any dark or ghost moves he’ll just quit.”

“Oh that’ll really piss off Bling he’s been hoping for some challenging fights for awhile now. Back at our old school he always fumed whenever someone wouldn’t fight him because of his family.” Stormy commented as they went to the benches.

“Why wouldn’t they fight him because of his family.” Rene asked as he headed back to the bleachers.

“Oh it’s complex to tell the truth I’d rather let Bling tell you when he is comfortable with you.” Stormy commented. “Hey instead of sitting in the bleachers why don’t you come sit down with us at the bench. “ Stormy gave the vulpix a hopeful smile.

“Sure if you’ll tell me why you call yourself Stormy or that ghost type Bling that can’t be your real names..uh can it.” Rene asked as they sat down.

“Oh no they aren’t but theirs a little story to that,” Stormy said as she scooted over a little closer t Rene.

While this was going on Nicole and Nicolas where trying to reach the arena floor, but for some reason it was not easy going. First Nicole tripped up and landed into the laps of Team Rhythm Box, then after apologizing to them. Nicolas went head over heels into a few of Team Spirit Crusher. They almost had to run away from the crushers who insisted that the bad luck was caused by the schools newest ghost. As they tried to get to the floor Nicole suddenly found her foot stuck to the floor by a huge wad of used up gum

Nicolas had to sit down while he laughed at his sisters predicament, “ Bwa hehahahaha, Oh mon Nicole you should see yourself.” He exclaimed as he tried to unsuccessfully stop his laughter.

“Ha ha ha very funny not! Now help me get unstuck.” Nicole fumed as she watched Stormy try to cuddle up with Rene.

Nicolas tried to sit up but a funny expression came over his face as he remained sitting. “Uh I can’t get up ummm I think I’ve been glued to the seat.” He gave his sister an embarrassed grin.

“Whats going on here.” Nicole wailed as the twins tried to free themselves.

While this was going on in the arena floor Bling had just made it into the ring to face Husk and Ms. Morgue was floating up to them. Bling tensed himself for the start of the match when Husk suddenly and very calmly said “Wait.”

“Huh what do you mean wait, common I want to get this party started!” Bling cried out.

“Do you know any ghost or dark type moves.’ Husk asked ignoring Bling’s comments.

“Yeah but what does.” Bling asked as Husk suddenly interrupted him.

“I concede the match.’ Husk simply said as he then floated back to Team Neon.

“WHAT he can’t just quit can he,” Bling asked Ms. Morgue.

“Yes he can, but it will count very much against his team in the case of a tie.” Morgue called out to the retreating Husk

Husk just shrugged as if to say why bother while Bling had his hand raised in victory. The sableye began to get angry as he went back to his teammates.

“It’s happening again.” Bling whispered to himself.

“Now now Ben he doesn’t know your family Husk always quits unless he knows he will win, it’s a bad habit that Ella has been trying to break him of.” Ms. Morgue explained as she escorted the winner back to his bench. “ I appreciate your situation but trust me, your family ties will not stop you from getting good matches while here.”

Ms. Morgue gave Bling a pat on the back as she gestured to Smoke to come into the arena Nina was already in her spot. The confident torkoal gave his team and Rene a thumbs up as he headed into the arena.

“Time to fly.” Nina sang out as she waited for Smoke.

“I’ll swat that bug outta da sky cute butt or not,” Smoke thought as he went into battle.
