On a hot desert day, in 1912ish, a dark brown hedgehog wakes up next to his beautiful new wife. Recently married to Isabelle, Armando the hedgehog who deserted the mexican army starts his new life in Texas.


His wife, Isabelle, took him to her father after Armando saved her from the hands of drunk mexican soldiers from a whore house afew years back. She was kidnapped and forced to be a whore against her will. The same night she started was the same night Armando left. He noticed her turning away his brothers-in-arms advances. After they got violent with her, he shot the 2 soldiers and fled with Isabelle. She was concerned at first, thinking she was kidnapped again. Isabelle did not know spanish and Armando did not know english. After afew nights spent together around a fire in the cold desert, Isabelle realized he meant no harm. They communicated and Armando took Isabelle across the border and back into America. During the trip, they slowly fell in love. After they reached Isabelles fathers ranch, she offered him to stay and help her old father handle his cattle ranch. Her father was unsure but slowly warmed up to the help he was. Isabelle was an only child whose mother died at child birth so she had no other family to help.

Afew more months passed with Armando learning a little english. He asked Isabelle to marry him and she couldn't resist the offer. More time passes as they handled the ranch with Isabelles father.
