So this is a very crappy pic of the sleeve I've made for my suit Xaviera. It's mirror aluminum scales on lightweight stretch denim, handsewn with an upholstery needle. If you have any questions about this I'd be happy to answer them!

Do you mean my sleeve or my computer? The sleeve is pretty strong, I used upholstery thread to sew it together, although it has never been worn for extended periods of time, so I suppose that remains to be seen. I also used heavy duty/upholstery thread to attach the scales, normal thread will break.
