My Version of the Koopa King
Sooooo, I'll admit, I've got a thing for Bowser :) I eman, COME ON! Peach gets kidnapped in just about every game in Mario Bros., and after a while, wouldn't you think SOMETHING might just be going on between her and Bowser after all those supposed 'kidanppings'? ;P I think so. Heck, I support Bowser x Peach XD Yes, I do. <3
Anyways! Sketch overall, I'm very much proud of this piece ^^ My first attempt was a more anthro-ish version but I didn't like how it turned out so I tried a more beasty image And I looooove it way more <3 I love especially how his head came out ^^ And his teeth!!! <D

“The Koopa King.”
The title alone got me hooked as it’s not just “King Koopa” as it is with most people. With you it’s the formal “The Koopa King.” x)
But moving from that... yeah I’ll go ahead and say it’s your version all right as Bowser here actually looks menacing for a change.
First of all, you drew his face more dragon like and snarling. I mean it’s a mean Bowser face rather than that kid friendly villain face that he’s normally seen with. Second, you drew him with the scale on. You drew him with the scales. Again, he’s supposed to be a giant lizard/reptile of sorts. Most people seem to forget that.
Now, moving from that, happening to love the accessories you put there with the collars. At least I don’t think Bowser had the collars...but then again, it’s been so long since I’ve played a Mario game, I really...can’t quite say that I even know.
Also, I like the way you drew his legs. They aren’t normal ‘human’ like, but draconic in nature. Again, Bowser is supposed to look menacing, like he’s capable of kidnapping the princess for many different games for several years on end.

<3 Yes, with me, I call him The Koopa King, I just luff him that much ^^ I'm glad you enjoy his dragon like appearance. i know he has a turtle shell on his back but I've always seen him as more lizard like than turtle like his minions. The collars and bracelets are actual accessories of his :3 I was going by reference as far as what he's equipped with.

Actually, he DOES love Peach. It's revealed in Paper Mario 64. There's this one point where you play as peach, and you read Bowser's diary. It talks about something he did earlier in the game, he went to the Star Spirits' domain and wished(they grant wishes) that Peach would love him. Of course, they knew who Bowser was and weren't about to grant it. Bowser gets angry of course, so he steals the Star Rod from them, starting the events in the game.
Oh Wow! :D I didn't know that! I never got to play Paper Mario that much. Sadly, I've noticed in any wishing scenario (whether it is game, movie, or etc.), wishing for someone to love you is never granted. But anyways, this makes more reason for me to support this pairing! XD Thank you Hanpan for that tid-bit :3
