Rukis first try of 3D Moddeling
WTF ... its not the same like drawing D:
I have sooo many problems... the Programm Zbrush is very nice, but i'm not good in english, so i need many h to try this heads.
I want to make an Head for my Lieon in SL but it don't works, how i like.
Sorry for my bad english.
I want to make an 3d Model from Abby too xD damn it.

A Advice for sculpting a Head is to learn how to use "SubTools", This allows you to put in other spheres.
With that you can quickly make a few eyeballs which you can sculpt the eyes around. Or make the Ears seperately.
Later you can seemingly fuse everything together.
...Sorry if my english is hard to read.

maybe. its not as confusing as traveling in europe I'm sure. With french english spanish and a touch of russian I'm sure communicating can be a pain on your side of the pond. Here we have some of the same problems but it revolves around spanish or the curiosity of a french speaking canadian. I've picked up enough words in spanish and french in passing conversation to ask where the restroom is, or more importantly answer said question. German however was a language I didn't have to hear everyday. after I feel out of touch with some german pen pals I stopped thinking about it until I forgot what little I'd learned in the two years of classes.
I'm sure if I remembered any of my german even trying to do a tutorial would be like listening to a 5 year old explaing string theory =P

Ah, I love this program. I'm building models for animation in my school using it. One thing that does help alot, build the model in some other program such as Maya, 3Ds or even Blender so you have a good polygon flow. Your sculpting will come out a lot smoother, plus when prep for game or animation, it'll work better.
okay can i show you an awesome animation? ^^

Man kann Technik an Füchsen anpassen? *verwirrt*

Working in 3D programs is very different when working in 2D, Zbrush is a program that is not very friendly with the interface, I tried to use it once and I spent too much work, instead I used another program called Sculptris, it's much easier and has no a lot of options that the zbrush but it is very easy to use.
3D modeling Normally I use 3DsMax, but I recognize that for this type of forms is recommended you use programs like zbrush or Sculptris.
If you do not know the program sculpris here I leave the website of the program, the program is free.

Someday these days I try to model my OC NanoFox to see how it goes.

Pssssssst. Hey you, Yeah you <.< want to know a secret? Yah? =O You are doing it wrong!
I can help though ^^.. Z brush is a sculpting tool and really isn't used for modeling, It is very on par with that of Mudbox. It is used for post modeling purposes to create stonger high poly models for Normal maping and Baking. This should be said that you already have a low poly model to bake the normals to.
I advise to look into the other programs out there that supports the modeling side. Autodesk 3Ds Max and Autodesk Maya are good tools and are 100% free for 3 years if you are a Student with an .edu email. So indeed go play!
Blender is 100% free also for a life time and is a cross between Maya and Max.
Daz 3d is another modeling program that is pretty nifty though is more on building off of presets than creating you own. Still good to use if you want to get down basic concepts.
If you start out with Sculpting first then geting your sculpts into any engine is going to prove rather difficult and all you inperfections are going to stick out like a sore thumb. You really need to look into programs that you can build both Poly objects and Mesh objects from. IE 3Ds Max.
I been a modeler for 11 years and now work with Microsoft making video games. If there is anything let me know. I also host livestreams teaching modeling and video game concepts at http://Livestream/SGDTutor
I like your sculpt that you did, very well detailed indeed. How many Triangles is that total?

When you sculpt, it still is either a mesh or poly object. The amount of detail that goes into the said object is based on how much geometry is in one area.
Take a Cube for example.. It has 6 sides or "Faces" (Face is actrual modeling term)
To make a face you need 4 lines, and thouse lines are made by two points, a vertex.
Allot of modeling programs, especially with sculpting would sub-divide a face with four verticies into triangles. So each face only has three. We call faces with four points a quad and one with three a triangle.
The total amount of triangles or quads indicates how detailed an object is =O Allot of characters would be anywhere from 3000-5000 bare, 10k-15k with acessories. And 300k-1M if you are creating a high poly version. X_X which is allot of detail. (though this is never actrually put into a game, if it was you would blow up your pc and that of many)
=O and you aren't stupid! never say that. Just a bit ignorant.. Ignorance is the not knowing of something, Stupid is knowing yet still not learning. IE you touch a stove top that you didn't know was hot that is ignorance, if you touch the same stove, you are stupid. =)
I can teach you any tool that you want if you have a passion for modeling, Then Ill work with you as I have many others.
