SO...some of you might remember when I got this troublesome damn rabbit. Long story short, a girl on
dA sold a bunch of these and they turned out to be total shit. Bones in paws, COVERED in grease, wet
tanned or just terribly tanned. Borderline useless. Well I shoved mine in a bag and stuffed it in the freezer
until further notice. For months. I forgot all about it. Today I realized the tiny fridge I'd left it in was gone!
It's been in my shed, unplugged, baking. It smells pretty bad but it's not the smell of rot. I can't describe
it but it must be the grease. I gave it a wash because it was dirty and a lot of the fur fell out, mostly on the
ears, they're basically bald now.
In other words, I have no stinkin' idea what to do with this bunny now.
I'm wondering if anyone can even salvage it. Do you know?

The grease occurs naturally in the skin. Usually, you salt the hide to pull the grease from it (you'd use pretty much a whole container of salt for this one hide). My assumption is this hide was either never salted, or barely salted once before it went on to the wet tanning process. Thus, the grease was never pulled from the skin, making it disgusting.
