Hiro “Guns” Vs. Thomas

Round 1: Psyched Out!

Only a few students where in the small arena where the Sophomore team Rebels and Neon where preparing to fight. For Team Rebels it was their first fight while at the Pokemon Combat Academy for Team Neon it was going to be another match in order to climb the ranks into the top ten. Only a very few members of the student body where still around the arena hanging out, when it became apparent that a battle was about to take place some of the onlookers began to take notice. Some of the students wanted to see if the quickly rising Team Neon would grab another win or what the brand new Team Rebels would come up with.

As she completed her warm ups Alicia “Stormy” saw a familiar sight in the stands and fly up to a vulpix sitting alone in the crowd. “Hey their Fire Fluff,” the altaria sang out, “What are you doing here?”

The vulpix startled at the comment but quickly recovered with only a mild blush. “Uhh Hi their well I’d heard that Team Neon and some new guys were going to have a match and I wanted to scout them out for the team I lead.”

“Oh your leading a team’” Stormy commented as she sized the vulpix up. Hmm cute, fluffy, and a team leader SCORE!

“Yeah Team Turquoise we’ve managed to pick up a few wins lately and I don’t want to lose the head of steam we’ve somehow managed to build up.” The vulpix explained.

“Oh well let me tell you about the new guys Fuzzy Buns,” Stormy giggled as the vulpix blushed yet again. “They are called Team Rebels and we’re good in fact we are so good that I would like to invite you to our fight victory party.”

“Uhh sure that sounds like it would be fun and also my name is Rene not Fuzzy Buns or Fire Fluff ,” Rene answered back.

“Heh heh ok Rene, and you can call me Alicia or Stormy, so then you know any good hang outs for our party?” Stormy began to lean a little closer to the vulpix .

“Yo Stormy the refs here get your act together fights are about to start!” Bling shouted out from the arena floor.

“Oh well be sure to stick around for our party Rene,” Stormy blew the vulpix a quick kiss before she flapped back to her teammates.

As Stormy returned to Team Rebels she saw the ref was actually a ghost type. Bling gestured her over to the group as she landed.

“O.K team the ref is actually the head of Ghost Tower where I live now so please be respectful of Ms. Morgue, also I’ve checked the stats of Team Neon and this would be a good win to give us a solid starting place in the school ranks. Keep your minds on your victims,” Bling grinned he always called whoever the Rebels where facing as victims. “ We can take these guys and make our first fight at the P.C.A our first win! Now Lets get pumped!”

Meanwhile Ella the lucario was also holding court with Team Neon. “Well team these guys are new and know nothing about the P.C.A! We can take them down fast and earn another quick win on our way to the top of team rankings.”

“If they don’t crush us first” Thomas lamented.

“Thomas don’t be that way your up first now get out their and WIN.” Ella tried to lift the absol’s sprit with a quick cheer as he trudged into the ring.

“Guns your up first” Bling said. “You’ve already had that absol quaking in his scarf the whole walk here! He is completely punked out just hit em hard and fast and we got a win!”

Guns nodded his head as he walked into the center of the arena putting Thomas back into his killer stare and only allowing himself a slight smile as he heard the rest of the Rebels trying to pump him up with the team’s battle cry.

“REBS! REBS! REBS! REBS! REBS!” Guns teammates shouted.

“So unneeded” Guns thought, “When am I ever not ready for the most noble of competition.”

“Fighters to the center of the ring,” Ms. Morgue called to them. “Now I want a clean fight out of both of you.”

Thomas couldn’t concentrate on Ms. Morgues speech as he became locked into the wide eyes stare coming from the small Hariyama. “How can someone so small look so…gulp deadly?”

Thomas was shaken out of his thoughts first by Ms. Morgues whistle starting the fight and then by the small yet very ANGRY looking fighting type charging at him!
Thomas started a with a Razor Wind and tried to back away from Guns charge. But Guns made it to him before the attack was fully charged and tried to nail the absol with a few arm thrusts. But Thomas quickly managed to avoid them and let lose with the Razor wind.

“Yeah Thomas that’s it stick and Move!” Ella called from the side lines.

“Stay away from that little guy Thomas wear him down!” Nina cheered the Absol.

“Guns put that absol away” Bling cried out as Smoke and Stormy kept the Rebs chant going.

Guns was only knocked back a few steps by the Razor Wind as he made ready to charge in again he saw Thomas coming right at him with a quick attack. Guns felt the slight smile form on his face, he knew how to deal with an attacking opponent.

Thomas winced as he came toward Guns with a quick attack. “In and out just don’t let him catch you.” He though to himself but when he opened his eyes as he was closing fast on his opponent but just as he was about to hit Guns the Hariyama literally dropped out of sight.

“What the!” Thomas shouted out as he tried to stop his forward momentum from the quick attack. The puzzled absol stood in the arena looking around for Guns but the fighting type was nowhere to be seen. Several students in the stands started to scratch their heads looking around for the other fighter.

As Thomas stood in the ring looking around Ella suddenly screamed out. “THOMAS HE USED DIG !, HE IS RIGHT UNDER YOU MOVE!”

But it was to late Guns exploded out from under Thomas grabbing the surprised fighter in a full nelson head lock and throwing them both up him in the air. Guns launched Thomas toward the floor with a Vital Throw and he landed hard.

“Lets finish this!,” Guns screamed out locking eyes with the absol.

Thomas just froze as Guns started a screaming charge toward him.

“Here comes da TM!” Smoke gleefully cheered out.

“Oh Yeah big TM.” Bling commented.

“It’s over,” Stormy smirked over to the rest of Team Neon.

Team Neon watched in a sort of stunned horror as Guns closed in with Thomas… the absol locked in place by fear and indecision. Guns first hit the absol with a literally thunderous Thunderpunch whose crack brought all the student onlookers to their feet in surprise. Then as Thomas bowled over from the first hit Guns hit him again with a wicked Mega Punch that sent the absol flying halfway across the ring.

Ms. Morgue blew her whistle as she glided over to the crumpled up Thomas, “Thomas Darken is unable to battle Hiro Honorbound Wins!” Scatter cheers rose up from the students watching the battle.

Stormy turned and saw Rene looking with an open mouth behind her and coasted over. Purposely putting a little extra wiggle in her glide as she went to the vulpix.
“So Rene what do you think of Guns finishing maneuver the TM. It’s never failed to put anyone down for the count so far.”

“That looked painful.” Rene responded.

“Oh yeah it is, keep watching Fuzzy Bun,” Stormy smiled at the blush on Rene. “I think that my match will be next,” She blew Rene a kiss as she flew into the arena.

Meanwhile another figure was watching in the stands Nicolas quickly fished out his cell phone and dialed a number. “Hey sis theirs a fight going on at the school that you really should see.” As he spoke with his sister the nidoran shook his head. How could that silly vulpix not see that the altaria was trying to put the moves on him. Oh well Nicole would put her straight, or in a full body cast!

Team Neon tended to Thomas as both Stormy and Ella began to eye each other they both knew that they would be next.
