Yomotsu kept walking on the cold soil, depending on the map which Hakuu'd left him.
Three days has passed after Hiten had disappeared. Is there really a key in here to find him? Yomotsu looked up to the heavens. He couldn't see the sky. Instead, there was a dark mass above him expanding as far as his eyes could see.
The Forest of Kurohadsuki ―. It always is dark on the ground just like midnight even in the daylight, because the thick foliage is always covering the ground and shutting light out. There were rays coming through the leaves far above here and there, however, they couldn't reach the ground and Yomotsu's feet are still dim.
Yomotsu really thought it was fortunate thing that he'd evolved into an Umbreon. Its bright red eyes can overlook through the thick dark. If he had been the other Pokemon, probably he couldn't see anything now and was bound to get lost.
Even if so, he thought, Hakuu is a hard customer to deal with, making him to search in such a dark forest. He doesn't have to worry about it since he, too, can see anything in the dark like Yomotsu. But he should consider the case that his partner couldn't. However, the fact wasn't so, and he probably had supposed that, as Yomotsu expected. Anyway, Yomotsu was smoothly headding for the place the map showing. He would reach there soon.
Keeping walking and he spotted a point, a part of the ground was light like a pinhole. He approached the place and could see the light through the leaves stretching and lighting the ground, just like a spotlight.
Maybe only here the opening on the leaves overhead the light come through is bigger than others, Yomotsu reckoned, and came to a halt. He looked the map and realised that he would soon arrive at the destination. Then, he felt something raising his spirits.
Hiten... He'd thought it was natural thing that he was in his side. Every time he left him doing stuffs he liked, situation was bound to be outrageous, so he reluctantly was giving aggressive responses to him and preventing him from going out of his control. He'd thought like so. But, it was wrong. He fully realised again after Hiten had gone, how he was important for him.
Yomotsu raised his head and glared at the direction he's going to go.
Hiten...wait for... I'll soon save you... I let no one be in my way!

I first thought to put Hakuu, but I reconsidered it would be more beautiful if the area of shining markings were bigger, so I put him after all.

夜守津は歩き続けた。冷たい土の上を、覇空の残した地図を頼りに…。
氷天が消えてからもう三日経つ。本当に彼を探す手がかりがここにあるのだろうか。夜守津は天を仰いだ。空は見えない。代わりに、ずっと上の方に何処までも広がる真っ黒な塊があった。
黒葉月の森―。鬱蒼と茂った木々の葉に光が遮られ、昼間でも地上は夜のように暗い。遥か上の方に見える樹冠の隙間から、所どころ光が差し込んではいるものの、その光の帯は地面まで届かず、足元は暗いままだった。
夜守津はつくづく、自分がブラッキーに進化していて良かったと思った。赤く光輝くその両眼は闇の中でも先を見通せる。他のポケモンになっていたら恐らく今頃何も見えずに道を見失っていたに違いない。
それにしても、こんな真っ暗な森を探索させるなんて、覇空も人が悪いと夜守津は思った。彼自身は自分と同じく暗闇でも物が見えるから良いようなものの、もし相手がそうでなかったらという配慮が足りない。もっとも、実際はそんな事態にはならなかったわけだし、彼のことだ、もしかしたら最初からそれも想定済みだったのかもしれない。いずれにせよ、夜守津は順調に地図が指し示す場所に向かいつつあった。もうすぐ着くだろう。
歩き続けると、一か所だけ、地面が点のように明るくなっている箇所が目に入った。近づいてみると、樹冠からの光が長く伸び、まるでスポットライトのように地面を照らしている。
ここだけ光の入る隙間が広いのだろう―そう思い、夜守津は立ち止まった。地図を見ると、間もなく目的の場所に辿り着くことがわかった。そう考えると、何か心の底から奮い立つものを感じた。
氷天…。いつも側にいるのが当たり前だと思っていた。あいつを放っておくと毎回事態が理不尽な方向に進んでいくので、度が過ぎないように仕方なく自分が突っ込みを入れて奴の暴走を止めている。そんな風に考えていた。けれど、それは違っていた。居なくなってから、改めて思い知った。自分にとって、彼がどれほど大切な存在だったかを。
夜守津は顔を上げ、進むべき方角を睨んだ。
氷天…待ってろ…。すぐにおれが助けてやるよ…。誰にも邪魔はさせない！
