Sooo, I've been busy with this for most of the past week or so. Its been a slow progress but i've got enough currently to throw up a wip at the moment.
Was looking for things to add to a character of mines cache and it crossed my mind after looking at my one of my gundam models that a large shoulder fired artillery piece just might be that something I could have in said character cache for a special occasion.
My calling it a 'repeating' recoilless rifle may or maynot be completely accurate, only called it that because it has a large slide operated by hydralics that opens and ejects the spent casing and then closes back feeding another round into it. HOWEVER, it doesn't do this in the same sense a pistol or assault rifle may fire, eject, and reload a round. It still pretty much functions like a recoilless rifle, but once fired the gunner has to press a button for the hydralics to open the slide and spit out and then feed in another round. Not sure what that classifies it as but for the time being i'm just sticking 'recoilless' in there.
Magazine holds about 8 rounds, had originally tried to make it a staggered magazine but that made the magazine too wide for the gun itself so the magazine instead is a single stack magazine with the rounds sitting ontop of one another rather than being staggered.
Still trying to hammer out a front stock to allow the gunner to better steady the rifle, also need to work out a sighting system for it, granted the character this is for has a helmet 90% of the time and the HUD can compensate for lack of sights on the platform but still having to think of that one 10% where the character may be without their helmet.
