As bad as Europe had it, they had it lucky compared to Australia.
In Europe's case, Germany didn't get it immediately, and Spain didn't get it until two years later... on April 1st. Not joking on that, and no pun intended.
Australia, however, had problems with tariffs. Without the tariffs, it would've only cost $375 Aus., with them however, it cost an additional $325 Aus. When adjusted for inflation, that's basically paying $401 extra for a garbage excuse of a console. Did I "do the math" Atari?

some of those confuse me.
HOLY SHIT! A MASTER SYSTEM 1! I've never seen one before, mine was a mastersystem 2.
not sure whats in... lets say the entire back row. also, left and right of the NES.
you have a megadrive 1, and 2, both with megaCD, and a 32X interesting. You're missing a MultiMega, AKA Megadrive 3.
The multimega was basically a megadrive (with mega CD) built into a portable CD player. Yeah, a really shit idea. Also, the 32X wouldn't work on it.

It's confusing with them having different names in different countries, but AFAIK, over here, what you're calling the Genesis 3, didn't exist, last of the line was the MultiMega.
I found it interesting how you could dock the MegaCD with a Megadrive 2, or a MegaCD2 with a Megadrive.

Trust me, I would've known if you told me
"Master System".
Then again I'm a bit older than
you, but my response would've
been:
"Damn...that's old. Haha."
Some of the systems I may have heard
of, but never seen the console, or seen
the console, but never knew the name.
It's a lot that were made, some reasons
were due to "falling production", like with
Sega's stuff. They were known and big, yes,
and trying new things, but after awhile they
just seemed to go downhill. I'll give em' one for
starting out with making a "CD" type of playable
system. Majority of the Sega fans know more about
the systems than I do. (I was always a Nintendo fan...
until now. "Wii U"? Get outta here. >:/)

A very nice collection of consoles you got here. I used to own a sega genesis with the bulky 32x adapter and a sega game gear. I've currently own the original playstation, the slim ps2 (used to have the original fat ps2), the first slim model of the ps3, a psp, a psvita, and a gameboy color.
My parents used to own an intellivision with the phone controllers.
